dogear — Terms of Use

Effective October 25, 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and 2351485 ALBERTA INC. (AIMLDS), Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the supplier of dogear. They cover the dogear app, this website, and the dogear browser extension. By using dogear, you accept these terms.

What dogear is

dogear is a read-aloud reader. It reads your documents aloud on your device, and your documents stay on your device. How dogear handles your information is stated in the Privacy Policy.

The free plan

Listening up to 600 minutes per month is free. No account is required.

The unlock

The unlock is a one-time payment of US$24.99. It removes the free-plan listening limit and includes the on-device voice capability. It is a single payment, never a subscription, and there are no recurring charges. Tips of US$1, US$3, or US$5 are voluntary and buy nothing extra.

Licence keys

Where an unlock is delivered as a licence key, the key is for the buyer's own use on their own devices. Keys may not be shared, resold, or published. Keys obtained by fraud may be revoked.

Your documents, your responsibility

dogear reads what you give it. You are responsible for having the right to use the documents you add.

No warranty

dogear is provided "as is". Its speech is machine-generated and can misread. Do not rely on dogear as your only means of reading safety-critical information.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 2351485 ALBERTA INC. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of dogear.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always stands on this page, and continued use of dogear accepts the update.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
