dogear is a read-aloud reader published by 2351485 ALBERTA INC. (AIMLDS), Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy states plainly what the product does with your information: as little as possible, by design.

Your documents stay on your device

Documents you add — pasted text, uploaded files, or links you ask dogear to fetch — are stored and processed on your own device. They are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot read them. The only network fetch dogear makes on your behalf is retrieving a link you explicitly give it.

No account, no tracking, no ads

dogear needs no account and collects no personal information. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking in the product. Your reading position and settings are kept on your device so the reader can remember where you stopped.

Purchases

If you buy the one-time unlock, payment is handled by the store or payment processor you check out with; we receive confirmation of the purchase, not your card details.
